چکیده

Abstract The sinoatrial node (SAN) is the pacemaker of heart. Recently calcium signals, believed to be crucially important in rhythm generation, have been imaged intact SAN and shown heterogeneous various regions with a lot analysis relying on visual inspection rather than mathematical tools. Here we apply methods random matrix theory (RMT) developed for financial data biological sets including β -cell collectives electroencephalograms (EEG) analyse correlations signals using eigenvalues eigenvectors correlation matrix. We use principal component locate signalling modules corresponding localization properties high eigenvalues. find that top eigenvector captures global behaviour i.e. action potential (AP) induced transient. In some cases, second highest eigenvalue yields region whose predict AP. Furthermore, new analytic methods, study relationship between covariance coefficients distance, even inside central zone, there are non-trivial long range correlations, indicating intercellular interactions most cases. Lastly, perform an nearest-neighbour distances it coincides universal Wigner surmise under all available experimental conditions, while number variance, which sensitive conditions. Thus RMT application allows remove noise effects AP-induced transient thereby isolate local meaningful signalling.

Sinoatrial - Node Entrance Block By BRUCE

Sinus-node function was characterized in 13 patients during cardiac catheterization by the introduction of progressively premature atrial depolarizations. Curves relating the extent of sinus-node depression following these premature depolarizations and their degree of prematurity were constructed. The maximum extent of sinus-node depression following premature depolarizations and A-V-nodal and ...

Sinoatrial conduction in children: an index of sinoatrial node function.

The premature atrial stimulus technique was used to evaluate sinoatrial conduction (SAC) in 50 children (age range 6 months to 21 years; median 6.5 years) to obtain normal values of sinoatrial conduction time (SACT) and to determine the usefulness of the technique in evaluation of sinoatrial node (SAN) dysfunction in children. The results in the normal group (n = 20) were compared with those of...

CaMKII in sinoatrial node physiology and dysfunction

The calcium and calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) is present in sinoatrial node (SAN) pacemaker cells and is required for physiological "fight or flight" SAN beating rate responses. Inhibition of CaMKII in SAN does not affect baseline heart rate, but reduces heart rate increases in response to physiological stress. CaMKII senses intracellular calcium (Ca(2) (+)) changes, oxidation...
